In an effort to send support out to each other. I ask you to take a moment each day to send out a good thought, say a word, a prayer ( whatever is best for you) for those who suffer with Fibromyalgia or CFIDS. By all being united in this effort , we may each feel those good thoughts and words as they go out into the atmosphere. Any of us could use such good support for out day. This is a SUPPORT group, not a flippin clinic. If I needed advice from my MD I would go see him. You really didn't retire, you just went from dictating pt.s in a clinic to doing so online. Quite a step down, don't you think? My guess is it was a "forced" retirement with the alternative being getting FIRED. By the way, last time I checked it was ILLEGAL for a Nurse Practitioner to put MD next to her name. IT IS FRAUD and a HUGE LAWSUIT. You are obviously much to good for us so do us all a favor and take you and all your "patients" and get the hell off of our group! Why do you care so damn much that we wont join your group? I think you should seek help as you have serious control issues and maybe schizophrenia since you go from a Nurse Practitioner to an MD overnight!

I like my group the way it is also, but I dislike duplication of effort even more. I am a recently retired medical professional, who has had FMS for 51 years per history. My practice specilized in Chronic Pain Patients, to whom I still receive letters of appreciation on a daily basis. I didn't profit off them nor use them. Anyone can write a book, but not everyone can treat a patient and I have had more patients than I care to count, who flourished under my care.

- Clarissa, thank you for the nice messsage, my mom has been odered to get a walker, so she does'nt fall again, and i'm doing great, thanks for asking!!! I have to remember to breathe deep as when in such pain, i find i'm taking such shallow breaths all the time, even holding my breath too, so i am glad you mentioned the breathing excercises to the group, we can get so used to "not breathing right" while in pain or stressed or both, we probably all do it to some degree, so thanks for the tip, i'm doing my excersises right now, i send warm thoughts and many blessings my dear friend, take care!!

- Clarissa, ahhh, i hurt bad and am a bit whiny today, feel nauseous, fluish, hi temp, all typical days, no money is prob the worst thing right now, but thanks for your concern, i did do something proactive for myself, am going to maximize the money situation as far as ssi goes, i dont get all i'm entitled to so if i got more then i could help myself more, and i dont know if i'm supposed to vent here, but it sure feels horrible to find out my mom and sisters think i'm making up my illness and portrayed me as having something weird wrong with me and suggested to my daughter in med school, that what i have wrong is only social and maebe that scary thing only weirdos get, "depression", i have been commended for my social work in the community, been in theatre, sang, gee, no problem being social here, dang, so my granddaughter laughs as she hears this, knows it's ridiculous, how humiliating, it's hard not to care what they say, and oh i know i can't fix it or change it, why even try or get upset??

I think this site and just being able to talk to someone who "gets it" has been very medicinal for me, everyone is helpful and considerate, my daughter is a psychologist and likes the idea of me reaching out to learn and share, i've always been a caregiver and no surprise here, i did'nt stop to help myself, then i collapsed and had to take notice, bet we all can relate to that, oh, wanted to ask if anybody's heard of or had steroid treatment for fibro? I had 50 tabs day, prescribed, 3 courses of treatment, now i have brittle bones, teeth are falling out, osteoarthritis, arthritis, i'm literally falling apart, and the steroids mess with ur emotions big time, and this was a rheumatology clinic famous for treating fibro, anyone care to comment, i want to hear from you, sorry i got so long winded, i'm letting go a bit, lol, take care!!
