Oh my best Goals Against Average was in 1972, it was 1.52 a game Regular Season 7 shutouts,, and 1.09 Playoffs 4 shut outs,it wasn't easy to get one on the old gippper when it was prime time!.lol .....that was the year we won the Deleware County cup! Our parade was us riding with the tops down screaming and hollaring, and people looking at us like we were a bunch of nuts! ha ha ha that was a great memory, and one I keep....take care see you tomorrow.

Hello I have Bobby Clarke's jersey, from the Flyers and Bernie Parent's from the Flyers, when they won the cup in 1973-74 and again in1974-75. Ahhh the good oid days. Marci your question {Do you happen to know if this is okay to post pictures I took at a professional Hockey game? } yea, you just can't sell them without permission from the team,........Also One More thing about the game during my playing days, when the back up was up for his turn to play I played Left Wing, I was nick named "the hound" after Bob Kelly of the Flyers, So here were my stats, Games Played, (goalie) 26 W=19-L=6 T=1 (Left Wing), Games Played 20,Goals =1 Assists =14 Penalty Minutes =189. Teeth lost,=3, lol Yea I was a bit aggressive when I played forward lol...I really don't miss those 2 A.M practices, but that was the only time we could get the rink. We practiced at Adrea Lacroix's hockey school in Cherry Hill N.J. .He was a center for the flyers way back when......Gigi ask you husband if he knew him....He wore the number 7....

Marci... I viewed your Son's Hockey pictures... He's awesome... Thank you for sharing the great pictures of your son... I know you and your husband are so very proud of him... What a fun memories for all the family. I remember ECHL Florida player Metcalf... when he played against our team. Florida is doing well again this year.
I have pictures I took at the Carolina Hurricane game..but I'm not sure if I can post them... I have them on my Camera card..see how much I know.. it' SD.. something.
Do you happen to know if this is okay to post pictures I took at a professional Hockey game?

Ok for those who are interested, I posted a few pics of my son playing hockey in his last game of the season. He really loves to play goalie but they make them rotate positions. he's lazy doesn't like chasing the puck around.

gigi, sorry about not getting back to you. couldn't get thru tues. YES, i've been busy with "kids" my youngest was 18 in feb-now, he wants to go to Colorado after graduation with 3 or 4 of his buddies. i'm not so sure about that. WAYNE, do u have any advise ? red wings have lost last 2 games. marci-i do know a FEW who don't like the red wings. we were at a sports bar once & a guy walked OUT when he saw them on the big screen! wayne sounds like he really loves hockey! so, cool to have patience & time to be a coach. something kids remember all their lives-i'm told. take care! linda

My husband is an avid Buffalo sabres fan, but since they choked and failed to make the playoffs, he is rooting for the blackhawks. My son is the black sheep of the family and LOVES the penquins, guess cause of the name or crosby but he should be banished...lol j/k. I just love hockey, don't really care too much unless it the redwings, I don't like them!!! My son plays on a team, his season just ended with a big tournament, nothing like watching 4/5 yr olds learning to play hockey, more like dominoe affect but it's so much fun. Hooray for HOCKEY!!!

Oh, and the best teacherr is hands on, and let them fail in order to know how to become a winner, I mean you don't want to lose (per say), but, they have to go through the failing process in order to appreciate the winning processs. So when they screw up, you let them know it, but at the same time try to point out what they can, or, could do the next time, so it won't happen again. Many things in the game happen hundreds of times, it's your anticipation of the upcomming event that makes you one step ahead of the others.. Anticipation is the name of the game...That's what I try to teach the kids.....How to anticipate what the other player is gonna do, in certain situations...hope this helps...take care...

Ok I used to coach kids in the PAL league in Philly,9 to 13 what an age group eh? we were number one, of course, but, kids can really be so hard headed. lol. There have been a lot of rule changes sinmce I played the game, but remember the puck must cross the blue line of the attacking player "before the player' not after,. ie:(offsides)
I nevere wore a mask, but always wore a cup!... I used to wear Gerry Cheevers" jersey he was the best at the time, he played for Boston.... I did forget my skates one time for practice, and played with just my converse sneajkers on! I had to keep going to the bench the to fog machine to warm my feet! I think The Red Wings are the deal, if anyone can knock them out it is Boston but, we'll see, oh AND THE SHARKS HAVE PROBABLT THE GREATEST GOALIE PLAYING RIGHT NOW.

we need a GOAILE Like I was in 1969 thru- 1976. I played against Colgate and U of Penn, at the Class of 23 rink in Philly. GOT KILLED, OK? Old Goalie thinking, Roses are Red, Violets Are Blue, They Goit TEN!!! We Got TWO! HA HA... Have A Great Day!
