We would love to see pictures if I think right there is a edit box on top where it says add text ect. that is where you add pictures. It is right above the start a discussion box. Dazzy- We had our first freeze here in Texas last night. How correct you are about Mother Nature's friendly reminder to wrap it up! We have been working on a wheelchair access apartment add-on for my husband/guest area. We added a covered veranda, where I had a nice fire going in the chimenea and MUST finish the sewing the canvas curtains for our outdoor room.

Too many projects, too little time.

How can I share some photos on this page? Thank you! Lydia

Hi again, I forgot to tell everyone we had our first snow yesterday big white cold fluffly flakes falling down. It didnt stick tho but it was one of natures ways of telling us to finish putting things to bed and get ready for winter. Guess I better finish up this week. I will be taking pics as winter progresses and I will share with you all.

Hi Suzie, it is nice to meet you. I see your a sewer too. I think it is wonderful making things for the new arrivals and when you make it yourself there is so much pleasure in it. i also see you are busy with puppies. Animals are a blessing to everyone and they provide unconditional love to all those who love them. My dog (beagle-Basset) Bob is at my sons right now he is out of town so he takes care of his family so there not alone. Bob is everyones dog. I go see how everyone is doing and Bob loves being head of household too. I am so glad to see everyone here and I were all looking forward to getting to know each other. Blessings to everyone.

Suzie- Hello and Welcome!
What a wonderful thing you are doing for the newborns!

Yes! Pets are very important to all of us, but especially seniors. I have a bunch of cats. They are easier for me to keep and they keep down the mouse population.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the welcome. I love making receiving blankets for babies. My daughter and her husband are trying for their first, and my first great nephew was just born. I love babies. I crochet the edges on the blankets, and I make them square so all the new moms just love them as they are big enough to wrap the babies in.

My puppies name is Moose. He weighs a little over 4 pounds. One of my daughters has a reg. Pomeranian named Wolf and my other daughter has a reg. long-haired Chihuahua named Kessie. We realized they were going to take our babies when they left the nest so we let them have puppies. Moose is our result. We gave one of the puppies to my mother-in-law who was recently widowed. She has become so attached. Pets are a blessing and so healing.

I am looking forward to knowing you all better.

Hi Lydia, I live in NWPA near Lake Erie. I even tried to grow herbs inside but no luck. I won't give up tho. I also compost my kitchen scraps, we have a compost bin outside and it makes nice rich dirt for the garden. We also have a rain barrell to collect rain water for watering and in the winter I melt down snow for indoor watering. Thank you for your helpful hints, and have a supherb day.
