I have a limited amount of Basil seeds, both Green and Purple Ruffled available for exchange.

I love herbs, vegetables and flowers and welcome anything that might grow in Zone 8, North Texas.

I live in a hi-desert (5,000'+), zone 6a (So. Ut), & am also a seed saver.
I grow 2 much 2 list here (lots of heirloom >> veggies, flowers & some herbs).
I am interested in both of your basils... this past summer we grew 6 kinds of basil in my little city lot (starting seeds indoors in Feb.).
I will look 4 your response of interest here.

Hi, this is Shana, I will have double purple Trumpet tree seeds soon (Datura). This is my first year to have them, so I hope they will grow. I love any perenial or native TX. plants, irises and day lilies or anything red! I am working on a cactus and sedum bed. Also, single and looking for a nice man, 50'ish! lol

Shana- Hi! Do you want some lantana seeds? They are native to TX, bloom twice per year, require no great special care in the hot Texas summers and come back year after year. Big beautiful bushes. Two colored clusters of flowers red on the bottom, yellow on the top. For quickie table arrangements, just take a 4" tall glass, fill with water and place in front of each plate. I'd love some of the purple trumpet seeds!

Ma Su - Hello! Thanks for posting the USDA Hardiness map! Do you happen to have any Oriental healing herbs?
Any pretty, hardy flowers are welcome! I have recently been exploring Thai and Vietnamese cooking, so I have lemon grass & plenty of Cilantro, seeds become Coriander (not for exchange). I am looking for the new Culantro.

I have an indoor room with shelves & grow lights, so I start seeds in January and can plant after March 20.

Hi, Lydia, My purple seeds aren't ready yet, but I will send as soon as they are. Yes I would love Lantana seeds, I am going to have a Lantana bed, already started with a white one, purple and some other color, forgot! lol I want all colors. The pink and yellow are native to TX. Thank you,

Shana- Sorry it took so long to get back to you. As you well know, we hit freezing last night, but will have beautiful weather this week. I'll start gathering the seed for you soon and mail. The native lantanas I have are orange and deep yellow. I have not grown them from seed, they simply grow and return year after year. I have 2 acres that have never been cleared, so I have a lot of "Natives" and just let them flourish. Thank you! Lydia

Hi, this is Shana again. I had to bring my trumpet tree in early because it was getting cold, so my seeds did not mature enough. But my friend has some and they are doing beautiful, she is going to send me some to send you. And maybe mine will do better next year. So don't give on me! I would still love the lantana seeds or anything anyone would like to send. Thanks

Hi Lydia,

I live in Denton (Zone 7b, 8a or 8b, depending on the year...lol) and would be interested in your seed exhange. We have been in our home since Oct 2007 and the yard is in need of life. When we bought the house the yard was the worst I had ever seen. We have cleaned it up and have added a few berry plants, flowers and 10 trees from Arbor Day that are about 1 yr old. I had been working on the yard until I had to have 3 surgeries in 2008, neck, back and shoulder. This year, 2009, my dear husband is taking care of the plants we currently have. I have decided that this year I would not add any new plants. You see my husband loves the garden and enjoys the hard work like making beds, digging, etc but he is not very knowledgable about the plants themselves. He has been studying and has become knowledgable about the plants we currently have. Anyway, if you are still offering seed exchange next year, I would be truly interested. I am looking to attract butterflies, hummingbirds and wild birds.
