Hello Skip Chilton. I know Catholic's are Christians. I was also raised Catholic. I disagree with several of the Catholic teachings: committing suicide is an unforgiveable sin, homosexuals are doomed and going to Hell, and being 'kicked' out (excommunicated) when you need your religion at the most trying time of your life, like divorce. I have other reasons if you're inerested.

I'm 63 yrs. old and have been a Catholic all my life. Went to Catholic grade school and high school. I belong to the Knights of Columbus (Past Grand Kight).
I Love Bonnie and her MOM, for standing up for what is right.

Good afternoon to everyone. Today God has given Louisville another one of His beautiful Fall days. The air is 'crispy' Autumn, the son is reminding you of a spring morning, and nature's canvas are all showing off their individual brilliance, as if God decided to let them be their most beautiful befor the day. It's great to be alive.

Thanks Pz! I am thankful to say that I received a reprieve and the 6 months was lifted about 2 1/2 years ago. I believe that God rewards us with trials and tribulations, both of which teach us the lessons we are lacking to help prepare us for the Lord and eternal life We seem to have similar views. Might I ask you to share some of your story. Ma you receive a blessing from my God.

Welcome Donna - thank you for joining my group - this group is for ALL Religions - It's Wonderful that you have overcome so much, I see that not only has it brought you closer to your Lord, but it has also made you a stronger person.

I hope that you have outlived your 6month sentence & that you continue to get stronger & healthier as each day passes.

Hello everyone. I browsed at several comments before I decided to join. I hope you all will accept me into the group. I am a devout NonCatholic. I am now a Christian. I believe in Jesus Christ, God, our Father, and the Holy Spirit. I believe in Angels and Demons. I talk to God atleast once a day, and as often as needed when there's turmoil. I believe in Heaven and Hell, sin, atonement, and forgiveness. I am human, therefore I sin and I am remorseful and God forgives me. I'm living a uniquely remarkable life. God has given more than most to bear, the house fire, the death of my two children, a sexual abuse victim, physically abused, lost my home not once, nor twice, but THREE times, I became disabled, and lost my job, my dignity, my total (self due to the symtoms). Finally, I was given the ol' 6 months to live, and decided to commit suicide 3 months early. I'd just like to Thank God for giving me this wonderful life. The lessons I've learned, the abilities each trial has given me, and the closeness God and I have today. By the way, my 6 month's death sentence no longer applies...that's another story for another time. Again, I'm glad to be here and am looking forward to a long relationship with everyone.

As a 50 yr young cradle Catholic, I must say that I learn daily to "let go and let God!" My Faith has kept me sane while I recover from severe child abuse(from caretakers, not my parents!); in fact it was my parent's nightly bedside prayers as a child, attending church weekly, praying before meals, and just generally living my Faith in Christ(Yes, Catholics are Christian too! :-) ) that saved my sanity in many ways! Now I am studying to be a therapist so I can help other trauma survivors, and also give back to my community!
